Abeo Technical Solutions LLC Appoints Rear Admiral Jay B. Yakeley, USN (Ret) to Top Company Post

MOUNT LAUREL, NJ – (May 1, 2010) – Abeo Technical Solutions today announced that its board of managers has named Rear Admiral Jay B. Yakeley, USN (Ret) to serve as the company's chief executive officer. Jay Yakeley has served on the board of AbeoTS since March 2008.

 

Jay Yakeley, age 65, joins Abeo Technical Solutions following a ten-year career with Computer Sciences Corporation, an IT systems integration and professional services company, where he drove the firm’s Navy and Marine Corps business from $130M to over $700M as the Navy Client Partner. This role included responsibility for all Navy activities across the $6 billion National Public Services Division.  Prior, Mr. Yakeley served as the Defense Group Navy/Marine Corps Business Development Team Lead. 

 

During his naval career, Jay Yakeley served under both Presidents Bush and Clinton as Senior Military Officer in the White House and Deputy Director of the White House Military Office.  As an Operational Flag Officer, Mr. Yakeley’s tours included Deputy Commander, Joint Task Force (JTF) Southwest Asia, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; Commander, Carrier Strike Group Three, Abraham Lincoln Battle Group, and Director for Operations (J-3) United States Pacific Command.

Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Mr. Yakeley has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Loras College, Dubuque, Iowa, and a master’s degree in Economics from the University of New York at Stony Brook, NY.  His professional military education includes the Naval War College Command and Staff Course, Newport, RI, the National Defense University Capstone Course, Washington, D.C., and the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, CA
